Novinci na norveški black metal sceni Odio Deus so se pridružili ekipi Wormholedeath Records. Pri tej bo 7. junija izšel zasedbin debitanski plošček Spiritual Syphilis.

V MIKK prihaja že LXII. edicija Metal Klavnice, ki bo hkrati ogrevanje za letošnji zadnji Vratolom. Nastopili bodo:

Finci As The Sun Falls so objavili nov single Aurora, ki je del novega albuma Kaamos. Ta bo izšel 3. maja pri Theogonia Records.

Domači heavy metal veljaki SkyEye predstavljajo prvi single Railroad of Dreams s prihajajočega albuma New Horizons. Za komad je band v sodelovanju z Max Visuals posnel tudi video, gostujoče vokale pa je prispevala Karmen Klinc. New Horizons izide 17. julija pri založbi Reaper Entertainement.

Karavana špičastih ušes oz. drugi del evropske turneje pagan black metalcev Finntroll se bo te dni ustavila v naši neposredni bližini. Finci bodo v družbi zasedb Metsatöll ter Suotana v nedeljo nastopili v Zagrebu (Vintage Industrial Bar), v torek pa v Gradcu (Explosiv).

Deathcorovci Chelsea Grin sporočajo, da je vrzel na bobnarskem stolčku zapolnil Josh Miller. Zasedba se je pred kratkim razšla z bobnarjem Pablom Viverosom in tako je nov polnopravni član zasedbe postal Josh. Izjava banda:

»We hope everyone has been doing well; we have some updates. We have parted ways with our fill-in drummer, Nathan Pearson. We sincerely value his friendship, as well as his devotion to furthering his craft and bringing his all to the stage. We truly look forward to watching his drumming career continue to blossom and advance, and value his time with us.

Furthermore, the band and Pablo have mutually agreed to separate. Pablo is one of our oldest friends, the life of the party, a masterful player, and a powerful creative. After Pablo spent some years away from the band, we all came together and realized that personal visions had diverged through time. We will always wish the very best for him, and seriously value all that he brought not only to the band, but to our lives. Nothing but tremendous love for him, always. We also encourage everyone to show support for him, Jaek and Alex’s new band, Ameonna.

Moving forward, we are proud and excited to announce that Josh Miller will be joining Chelsea Grin. It goes without saying that the future is bright – you will hear it in our music and witness it in our performances.

Venom Inc. sporočajo, da imajo novega bobnarja. Zasedbi se je pridružil Marc »JXN« Jackson. 

V sklopu turneje »25 years of Latin Metal« se bodo Ill Niño ustavili v Sloveniji in bližini. V družbi Ektomorf in Mind Incision se bodo 31. avgusta ustavili v Budimpešti (A38), dan kasneje v Ljubljani (Orto Bar), 3. septembra pa na Dunaju (Viper Room).

Britanski kitarist, pevec in tekstopisec Billy Morrison, v zadnjih 15 letih znan predvsem kot ritem kitarist Billyja Idola, in njegov glavni kitarist Steve Stevens (ex-The Cult) ter princ teme Ozzy Osbourne so posneli videospot za pesem Crack Cocaine. Pri tem gre za drugi single (prvi je bil Drowning) prihajajočega heavy rock albuma The Morrison Project, ki bo izšel 19. aprila. Pri snemanju albuma so med drugim sodelovali še Billy Idol, DMC, Corey Taylor, Al Jourgensen, Steve Vai, Steve Stevens, Linda Perry, Tommy Clufetos in John5.

Norveški blackened thrasherji Inculter so objavili koncertni posnetek komada Death Reigns z aktualnega albuma Morbid Origin, ki so ga izdali decembra pri Edged Circle Productions.

Založba Profound Lore na tej povezavi ponuja v posluh novi album ameriških eksperimentalnežev Locrian z naslovom End Terrain. Ta obsega te naslove:
