Organizatorji dogodkov Hangtime Agency sporočajo, da je nedeljski koncert zasedb Grima in Ultar v zagrebškem klubu Močvara odpovedan. Odpovedana sta tudi koncerta v Beogradu in Novem Sadu ter tudi 40 drugih nastopov skupin po Evropi. Zapletlo se je namreč pri vizah. Izjava banda:

»Dear followers of the Grima cult, sometimes even the biggest and oldest spruce tree can't withstand (in)human acts. There is a point where we have to bow down and accept what cannot be changed.
After 4 months of non-stop efforts from everyone involved behind the scenes, the best we got is a 30 days stay in the Schengen area. We have applied for a 90 days arts science visa, which we have been granted in past years, but not this time, the reasons have not been communicated to us.
We did everything we could do, Asgaardian Events and even Les Acteurs de L'Ombre Productions helped us as much as possible, but all we got are these 30 days for now, which we shall use to the fullest.
Our first show will be on the April 25 in Switzerland and the last one will be on the May 22 in Paris. Any other show will be cancelled. There will be no further rescheduling. We will be happy to see each one of our cultists at these shows. We won't have any other Central European tours in the near future, except a few festivals next year, which we are already negotiating with.«

Britanski kitarist, pevec in tekstopisec Billy Morrison, v zadnjih 15 letih znan predvsem kot ritem kitarist Billyja Idola, in njegov glavni kitarist Steve Stevens (ex-The Cult) ter princ teme Ozzy Osbourne so posneli videospot za pesem Crack Cocaine. Pri tem gre za drugi single (prvi je bil Drowning) prihajajočega heavy rock albuma The Morrison Project, ki bo izšel 19. aprila. Pri snemanju albuma so med drugim sodelovali še Billy Idol, DMC, Corey Taylor, Al Jourgensen, Steve Vai, Steve Stevens, Linda Perry, Tommy Clufetos in John5.

Progresivna death metal zasedba The Monolith Deathcult je minuli petek izdala deveti album The Demon Who Makes Trophies of Men.

Norveški blackened thrasherji Inculter so objavili koncertni posnetek komada Death Reigns z aktualnega albuma Morbid Origin, ki so ga izdali decembra pri Edged Circle Productions.

Junija se bo zgodil Belgrade Metal Fest II, beograjski festival ekstremne metal glasbe. Nastopili bodo The Stone, Consecration, Infest, Violent Chapter, Kolac in Mogila Deathcult. Vstopnice so že na voljo.

Blackened death metalci Miruthan bodo 26. aprila izdali EP Cult Of The Dead. Na albumu bodo ti komadi:

Letošnji Brutal Assault bo poseben še zaradi enega velikega dogodka, in sicer se bodo ob 200. obletnici rojstva znamenitega poljskega skladatelja Bedřicha Smetane na odru združili domači black metal velikani Cult Of Fire in praški simfonični orkester Bohemian Symphony Orchestra pod vodstvom Martina Šande. Skupaj bodo odigrali poseben set, posvečen prej omenjenemu skladatelju. Dirigent Martin Šanda je namreč napisal aranžmaje določenih komadov Cult Of Fire in vanje vpletel Smetanovo glasbo. Vsekakor gre za edinstven koncert, vreden ogleda in posluha.

Progresivna blackened death/doom metal zasedba Summoner's Circle je objavila videospot za single Irreverence of the Cross. Najdete ga lahko na prihajajočem albumu Cult, ki bo izšel 24. maja pri Black Lion Records.

Doom stoner occult duo Saltpig je podpisal s Heavy Psych Sounds. Pri njih bo izšel duetov novi celovečerec, dodatne informacije in prvi single pa sledijo konec tega meseca.

Sludge metalci Cultura Tres, pri katerih bas kitaro igra Paulo Xisto Jr. (Sepultura), so napovedali turnejo po Združenem kraljestvu, ki jo začnejo jutri, medtem ko bodo Evropo zasedli konec aprila. Nam najbliže bodo nastopili 14. maja v Zagrebu. Vse datume turneje, v okviru katere bodo Venezuelčani promovirali album Camino de brujos, najdete na sliki.

Black/death metal veterani Diocletian iz Nove Zelandije se bodo spomladi mudili po stari celini, organizatorska ekipa Abyssal Booking in Nasty Events pa jih bo v petek 19. aprila pripeljala v klub Močvara v Zagrebu. Opium Death je nova ameriška zasedba, ki v svoji glasbi prepleta praktično vse zvrsti ekstremnega metala, vanje pa vpleta še progresijo in tehnične elemente. 19. aprila bodo izdali prvi studijski album Genocidal Nemesis, tukaj pa že lahko prisluhnete prvemu singlu Genocidal Nemesis I: Fear.

Švedski melodični death/groove metalci Orbit Culture predstavljajo vizualizer za komad Black Mountain z aktualnega albuma Descent, ki so ga izdali lani.
