Hrvaški Manntra so tretji najavljeni headliner hrvaškega festivala Pannonian Rock Festival 2024. Poleg Hrvatov so bili najavljeni še:

Tridnevni festival se bo odvijal od 15. do 17. avgusta. Vstopnice so na voljo, zanje boste do 10. maja ali do razprodaje 150 »early bird« vstopnic odšteli 74 EUR.

Iz tabora hrvaških doom metalcev Old Night sporočajo, da jih je zapustil vokalist in kitarist Matej Hanžek. Vrzel v zasedbi bo na vokalu tako zapolnil njegov brat Ivan, na kitari pa se je zasedbi pridružil Rafael Cvitković (Nekroza). Spodaj lahko preberete celotno izjavo banda:

»This is a post I write with a heavy heart, yet full of hope and with a bright look on the future. After eight years with us as our lead singer and frontman, earlier this year Matej decided to step down from his duties within Old Night. I know you are hoping for some gossip or a sassy story, but there was no drama involved. He just wants to focus on other things in life and at this point, music is not a priority for him. Having said that, I wish to thank him on our behalf for everything he has done for us, all the great times we shared on stage and backstage, but also for all the long hours he has put in working on our first three records. It was a privilege and you'll always be a part of our family. Obviously, this news has taken us aback and we had to figure out how best to proceed. We took some time to see what our options were, as this is an important role we needed to fill. After much deliberation we figured out we need not look outside our band for a perfect candidate as we have one in our midst. Ivan has been singing all the backing vocals from day one and from now on he will be handling all the lead vocals. No need to worry, he’ll remain our lead guitarist as well.

The only piece of the puzzle left to figure out was who’ll play the rhythm guitars? Without further ado, we welcome Rafael Cvitković, from the Croatian death metal machine Nekroza, as our new guitarist. If you attended our concerts, you might have already seen him filling in on sound checks or working on our merch booth. Nekroza just released their debut album on InsArt Records – you can check them out and show them your support.

With our line-up complete, we will continue working on our new record and we hope we’ll have some news in that regard soon. In a couple of weeks, we’ll have our first concert with the new line-up and we can’t wait to present you the New Old Night.«

Nemški progresivni death metalci Alkaloid sporočajo, da so se razšli s kitaristom Dannyjem Tunkerjem. Spodaj lahko preberete celotno izjavo banda:

»We are sad to announce that Danny Tunker left Alkaloid almost 2 years ago. After going through some profound personal tragedies which had little to do with the band, he decided to adjust course and step away to focus on other endeavours. There was no drama and we all support his decision.

After some time for reflection, we decided to make this new album with the four of us. There was plenty of material as always, and we are delighted to have one of Danny's songs on the album at least. It's one of our more insane tracks, and we look forward to sharing it with you all soon!

Danny will be sorely missed. We remain good friends, wish him the best of luck in his new incarnation, and of course hope to work together again in the future in whatever form.«

Album Tramohr italijanskega avantgardnega metal projekta Dramanduhr je v celoti na voljo za poslušanje.

Italijanski avantgardni metal projekt Dramanduhr napoveduje album Tramohr. Album bo izšel 11. oktobra pri BloodRock Records / Nero Corvino in naj bi nagovoril ljubitelje bandov, kot so Enslaved, Rotting Christ, Negură Bunget, Thy Catafalque, Solefald in Ecnephias. Nekaj pesmi je že na voljo za poslušanje:

Mikael Åkerfeldt, bolje znan kot vodja švedskih progresivcev Opeth, je poskrbel za dramatično glasbo v seriji Clark, ki si jo od 5. maja lahko ogledate na spletni platformi Netflix. Sedaj pa je soundtrack serije možno slišati tudi na vseh streaming platformah, v fizični obliki pa naj bi projekt ugledal luč svet še letos.

Založba Frontiers Records bo 18. marca izdala drugi album projekta Shining Black, v katerem sta moči združila vokalist Mark Boals (Dramatica, Ring Of Fire, ex-Yngwie Malmsteen, ...) in kitarist Olaf Thörsen (Labÿrinth, Vision Divine), band pa dopolnjujejo basist Nik Mazzucconi, bobnar Matt Peruzzi ter klaviaturist/pianist Oleg Smirnoff. Belgijska zasedba Fabulae Dramatis, ki preigrava progressive/avant-garde metal, je objavila single in videospot za pesem Lead Astray •|• Indigo. Gre za 2. single, s katerim zasedba napoveduje svoj prihajajoči 3. studijski dolgometražec.

Jeseniški brutalneži Within Destruction so sporočili, da Francesco Filigoi ne bo več vihtel pri njih kitare: »Unfortunately we've decided to part ways with Francesco. We know you wanna hear drama but there is literally none... It ultimately came down to our plans for 2022 and we realized we wouldn't be able to walk the same path at the same pace.

We remain good friends and we would like to thank him for all the hard work and effort he's put into WD in the past two years and wish him all the best with his career.«

Francesco je sodeloval z Jeseničani 2 leti, z njimi posnel album Yōkai in vse z njim povezane single.

Darkher predstavlja videospot za akustično verzijo nove pesmi Love's Sudden Death. Video je bil posnet v gozdu Hell Hole Rocks v zahodnem Yorkshiru v mraku, ko so se vrane posedle po okoliških drevesih.

Gre za temno romantično balado s prihajajočega albuma, ki je bil močno navdihnjen z razpoloženjem starodavne pokrajine in kako se znotraj nje odražajo čustva - dramatična, lepa in včasih mračna.

Lansko leto izdani EP MMXX, je nemške electronic/metalcore zabavljače Eskimo Callboy dvignil med zvezde. Komad Hypa Hypa je požel velik uspeh ne le med poslušalci, ampak tudi med glasbenimi kolegi. Zasedba je na novem socialnem omrežju TikTok objavila nekaj kratkih alternativnih različic omenjene uspešnice, ki bodo sedaj na željo in veselje poslušalcev dobile popolno obliko. 21, maja bo namreč pri Century Media izšel MMXX: Hypa Hypa edition, na katerem bodo sledeči komadi:

Zagrebška black/death metal zasedba Muka, v kateri so moči združili nekdanji oziroma sedanji člani Johann Wolfgang Pozoj, Decomposing Entity, Usud, Duskburn, (drama) in ThroaTTwisteR, bo 31. januarja pri založbi No Profit Recordings izdala nov EP z naslovom Patologija Poniznosti.

Leta 2012 nastalo skupino sestavljajo Stjepan Dianić (bas), Goran Tatalović (kitara), Edin Karabašić (kitara, vokal), Ivan Borčić (vokal) in Marin Lelas (bobni).

Italijanska blackened gothic/doom metal zasedba Shores Of Null na ogled ponuja videospot/film za njihov celoten tretji studijski album Beyond The Shores (On Death And Dying), ki je izšel konec prejšnjega meseca pri založbi Spikerot Records. Gre za eno samo 38-minutno skladbo, ki poudarja njihovo težjo, počasnejšo in bolj dramatično plat, navdihnjeno s petimi stopnjami žalosti, za katere je koncept razvila švicarsko-ameriška psihiatrinja Elisabeth Kübler-Ross.

Album je posnel, zmiksal in masteriziral Marco »Cinghio« Mastrobuono iz skupine Hour Of Penance, kot posebni glasbeni gostje pa med drugim sodelujejo tudi Mikko Kotamäki (Swallow The Sun), Thomas A.G. Jensen (Saturnus) in Elisabetta Marchetti (Inno).

Projekt Mrs. Piss, v katerem sodelujeta Chelsea Wolfe in Jess Gowrie (Horseneck, Red Host, The Drama), je skompletiral serijo besedilnih videospotov za vseh osem skladb z debitantskega albuma Self-Surgery, ki jih lahko preverite na tej povezavi. Self-Surgery je izšel konec maja pri založbi Sargent House.
